Coral to refund ante-post bets on non-travelling Irish runners

Put The Kettle On will no longer run in the Ladbrokes Desert Orchid
Coral will refund all ante-post bets on any non-travelling Irish runners over the Christmas period.
Following the news that Irish-trained horses will be unable to travel to Britain over the Christmas period, Coral are to refund all ante-post bets on any affected runners, including 8-1 shot Monalee in the Ladbrokes King George, and Put The Kettle On, 2-1 second favourite for the Ladbrokes Desert Orchid Chase.
As a result of the latter’s absence, Altior is now 2/5 (from 4/6) favourite with Coral for the two-mile contest.
“It’s a shame that the likes of Monalee and Put The Kettle On will be missing from the festive action at Kempton, but given the unusual circumstances behind their absence, we felt it only fair that punters did not pay the price, and will be refunding ante-post stakes on all affected horses,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“Put The Kettle On was the main market rival to Altior in the Desert Orchid, and so the latter’s task appears to have been made rather easier, and he’s now 2-5 to make a winning return.”
