Christmas Premier League club manager wishlists

With Christmas swiftly approaching, many Premier League managers will be getting prepared to get involved in some transfer business in the subsequent winter window.

Though as well as potential new recruits in January, the top-flight bosses will be hoping to see plenty of other boosts for the remainder of the current campaign.

So, ahead of the festive period, Coral take a light-hearted look at what each Premier League manager should be asking for Christmas at the midway point of the season. Read on for our Christmas Premier League club manager wishlists!

Arsene Wenger (Arsenal)

Arsenal have looked capable of maintaining a strong title charge this season, and are 6/1 to reign supreme, but French boss Wenger will be hoping to avoid any festive injuries for once as part of his Christmas list.

The long-serving Gunners manager has seen many of his attempts at Premier League silverware come crashing to and end due to injury setbacks throughout the winter period.

Wenger may also be asking Santa Claus for a new striker in January, with a heavy reliance on Alexis Sanchez at present and Olivier Giroud struggling for form after falling down the pecking order.

Eddie Howe (Bournemouth)

Bournemouth have managed to keep their position in the top 10 of late but high on Howe’s wishlist this Christmas will undoubtedly be a winning streak.

The Cherries have failed to win two games in a row at any point this term, prevailing on six occasions domestically, but being unable to follow those victories up with further success. A good run of form will be essential in order to avoid dropping down the basement places again in the coming months.

Seam Dyche (Burnley)

Burnley are of the clubs stuttering towards the wrong end of the table and in order to retain their top-flight status beyond this season, Dyche will be asking for key defender Michael Keane to remain at Turf Moor as part of his wishlist.

The Clarets coach could also be doing with yet another Christmas cracker from Jeff Hendrick, after the Republic of Ireland midfielder’s sensational strike helped secure a win over Bournemouth.

Antonio Conte (Chelsea)

Conte’s wishlist will no doubt comprise of wanting to maintain Chelsea’s lead on top of the table and continuing to see the fine form of Diego Costa in front of goal.

Brazil-born Spain striker Costa has been back to his clinical best this term and is 13/10 favourite to finish the campaign as Premier League top scorer.

Alan Pardew (Crystal Palace)

Crystal Palace have struggled massively so far this season and find themselves in a daunting position before Christmas – being 5/1 to face a dismal drop down divisions.

Alan Pardew is in dire need of bolstering his rearguard and will see a left back as top priority in his wishlist for Christmas, with Ben Davies having been linked in recent weeks.
