Chepstow headlines Friday

Get a pick in every race on the card

Chepstow hosts a talent-laden eight-race card in the highlight of Friday’s UK and Irish horse racing schedule. There’s also meetings penned in at Lingfield, Musselburgh, Cheltenham, Fontwell, Downpatrick and Cork.

You can bet on all the day’s domestic meetings, or take a look at the build up to the Kentucky Derby, right here at Coral. Get involved with us – the winners are just a click away.

Moayadd to justify favouritism

We stick to matters in Wales where a punchy handicap gets us started at 1.20pm. Betting on the go? Fast-forward to the bottom of this page where you will find our pick in every race, designed to aid your multiples, including Lucky 15s and accumulators.

There’s no time wasted as we dive in with our NAP, which goes in the opener. 11 runners should go to post for this one, with Admiral’s Sunset and Moayadd chalked up as joint-favourites in the early betting. That looks a shrewd call by the traders, but it’s the latter who will carry our stake money.

Keep a close eye on the betting

The Neil Mulholland prepped five-year-old gelding arrives in fantastic form, campaigning on the all-weather during the winter, with his last four starts reading three wins and a second. Last seen following up a hat-trick with a second-place at Lingfield, beaten a head by Balancing Time at the end of March.

Moayadd arrives at track fit, on the back of a busy start to the year, with confidence in the tank and progress expected. The yard has a great record getting favourites home in front, so if the money comes for this one, be sure to pay attention. Coral traders are offering up a worthwhile 10/3 at the time of writing – we don’t expect that to wait around.

Perfect Quest fancied to double up

We’re straight back in with our next best going in the 1.50pm, a fillies’ handicap settled over one mile two furlongs. Odds compilers have Perfect Quest backed, and we find ourselves following their thinking again. Ridden by Adam Kirby for Clive Cox, she caught the eye when returning with a winning effort at Windsor last month.

Doing the business over a similar trip, she was noted staying on at the finish to edge out closest rival Capton by a head. Given a real gem of a ride that day by Kirby, we are expecting another big push here. Kirby is also renowned for winning favs, and this one should drop in at the 6/4 currently offered.
