Jockey J.W. Kennedy riding Brighterdaysahead wins the Turners Mersey Novices' Hurdle race on the third day of the Grand National Horse Racing meeting at Aintree racecourse, near Liverpool, England, Saturday, April 13, 2024. Organizers of Britain's biggest horse race have taken action to improve safety and avoid a repeat of the chaos sparked by animal-rights activists before last year's edition.

There's been a major shake-up in the race for the Champion's Hurdle at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival.

Brighterdaysahead will run in this year's Champion Hurdle, pulling out of the Mares' Hurdle in the process

The mare was a long-time favourite for the Mares' Hurdle and was cut from 9/4 to 2/1 following trainer Gordon Elliot's announcement the week before Cheltenham kicks off.
