All your tips ahead of the final day at Prestbury Park

Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins ran away with the 2018 Cheltenham Festival on day three as Ireland cruised to the Prestbury Cup with a day to spare.

But will Irish eyes be smiling on Gold Cup day as the festival draws to a close for another 12 months? The English dominate the top of the betting for the big one with Might Bite and Native River.

The Coral News Team delve into the final day for our best bets and tips for all seven races…

1:30 Triumph Hurdle – Apple’s Shakira

The most obvious bet of the day looks like Apple’s Shakira in the opening race. Nicky Henderson’s charge looks a cut above the rest in this Triumph Hurdle renewal.

She’s already got all the class, a huge engine, and bundles of stamina. Plus she’s also afforded a handy 7lbs fillies allowance.

The surface is perfect for this four-year-old star, too. She’ll face good challengers from the likes of Alan King’s Redicean, and Irish raiders Stormy Ireland and Farclas, however. But she should be too good for them all.

2:50 Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle – Santini

Nicky Henderson’s has two big contenders in this renewal in Chef Des Obeaux and Santini. But it’s the latter who could take the spoils.

Black Op’s superb second in the Ballymore on Wednesday was a great pointer for this renewal. Santini beat him in the Ballymore trial back in January. And he also has a win over Chef Des Obeaux at Newbury back in December.

Conditions were the same or similar those races as they will be today. It’s difficult to see Santini out of the first two, but if things go right, he should win.

3:30 Gold Cup – Might Bite

It was a difficult decision in a field full of quality, but Might Bite gets the Coral News Team’s backing at the prices.

Henderson has already won the two of the big festival features with Buveur D’Air and Altior. Can the English champion trainer add a third with Might Bite?

Last year’s RSA winner put in one of the most impressive performances in many a year in that race. And the King George winner has gone from strength to strength since.

The ground will be a slight concern but with an unrivalled cruising speed amongst this field and huge stamina, he’ll take all the beating here.

Cheltenham Day Four Racing Tips

1:30 JCB Triumph Hurdle – Apple’s Shakira

2:10 County Handicap Hurdle – Divin Bere e/w: Second to Flying Tiger in the Fred Winter last year, is now off a 7lb lower mark. Could be a player at a big price.

2:50 Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle – Santini

3:30 Gold Cup – Might Bite

4:10 Foxhunter Challenge Cup Open Hunters’ Chase – Caid Du Berlais e/w: In a big field, it may be prudent to look down the betting. Caid Du Berlais for Paul Nicholls looks an interesting e/w bet at a big price. Has three easy wins under his belt recently and could at least hit the frame.

4:50 Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle – Lough Derg Spirit e/w: Step up in trip here will suit Nicky Henderson’s charge who looked a little out of place a Newbury in February.

5:30 Grand Annual Challenge Cup – Le Prezien e/w: Second to Rock The World here last year. Finished runner-up to Splash of Ginge here in November. Definitely player.
