Real Madrid may struggle to get a deal done

Chelsea are looking increasingly likely to keep hold of Real Madrid target Eden Hazard this summer, according to the latest Coral odds.

The Champions League holders are targeting Hazard as a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

They had been as short as 1/3 to sign the Belgian star, but those odds have now drifted to Evens.

With less than two weeks of the transfer window remaining, Chelsea would find it hard to replace the winger if he left now.

It does still look like Thibaut Courtois could leave Stamford Bridge for the Santiago Bernabeu. The Blues’ number one is 1/5 to make the switch.

“Time is beginning to run out for Real Madrid to sign Hazard, with Chelsea unlikely to sanction any deal unless they have sufficient time to secure a replacement. It may still happen but right now it looks touch and go,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

“There may still be some twists and turns to come but at the moment it still looks very likely that Courtois will be returning to Madrid this summer, this time lining up for Real,” added Aitkenhead.
