Tasty Champions League tips for Wednesday

We are back in the thick of Champions League betting action and it is the turn of English hopes Tottenham and Leicester City to continue their campaigns on Wednesday, as they face Bayer Leverkusen and FC Copenhagen respectively.

So, for the best Spurs v Leverkusen odds and more, read on for our five tasty tips below…

Tottenham for a point in our Spurs v Leverkusen odds

Punters will be well aware that Spurs have been struggling to kill off games of late, so a splitting of the spoils at 13/5 is mighty tempting for this match-up.

These two teams ground out a stalemate back in Germany, so expect there to be little to pick between the pair again. Leverkusen boast just one win in normal time from their past five, while Tottenham have not triumphed in any of their last five frays either.

Leicester can beat Copenhagen in Denmark duel

It’s been so far so good for the Foxes on their Champions League adventure, with three victories from as many matches and a maximum nine points picked up to top Group G.

FC Copenhagen were unlucky to lose at the King Power last time, but Leicester have scalped a bigger name in Porto already and will be high in confidence after taking a Premier League point from Tottenham at the weekend and three from Crystal Palace before that.

Further in the Foxes’ cause is that marksman Ahmed Musa has scored in back-to-back battles, so take those 12/5 odds for Claudio Ranieri’s men to taste success in Denmark.

Higuain to score first and Juve defeat Lyon

Italian giants Juventus downed Ligue 1 Lyon 1-0 in the reverse, but can expect to be much more comfortable on Turin turf against the French side.

Lyon have just one win in their last four, while the Old Lady have scored six across their last two games, both on home soil. Goal gobbler Gonzalo Higuain is back in form after firing last time out so makes a tempting 5/2 to open scoring in a Juve victory.

Ronaldo to hit the net in both halves against Warsaw

Cristiano Ronaldo has suffered some bemusing criticism this campaign, despite scoring seven times in 10 appearances. The bar is always set high for the Real Madrid goal machine and he answered doubts last time out with a hat-trick to help destroy Alaves 4-1.

Portugal skipper Ronaldo bookended the battle with goals in each half, and can find more joy against Legia Warsaw – who Real smashed 5-1 in the reverse. So, with Ronaldo rampant again, odds of 7/2 are appealing for the Portuguese to poach a goal in both 45s.

Dortmund to sink Sporting and both sides score

Borussia Dortmund are a shout at 7/4 to defeat Sporting Lisbon and both teams to be on target, when the Portuguese club travel to Westfalenstadion on Wednesday.

Thomas Tuchel’s team ran out 2-1 winners in Lisbon in October, despite conceding a late goal to Bruno Cesar. The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mario Gotze should see Sporting again dismissed in Germany but, with BVB leaking goals in all but one of their last nine matches in all competitions, both teams to score in a Dortmund win looks great value in this return.
