Champions League group stage tips
The Champions League group stage continues into Wednesday night for its second week, and the latest action sees the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal, Celtic and Manchester City all looking to gain three points.
Luis Enrique’s Spanish champions will look to add to their mauling of Celtic with further success over Borussia Monchengladbach, while Arsenal tackle Basel and Celtic v Man City is the key tasty tussle taking place.
So, read on to find out our five Champions League group stage tips from these clashes for September 28th…
Celtic’s Sinclair to strike past former club
Since arriving at Parkhead to reunite with Brendan Rodgers, former Manchester City wideman Scott Sinclair has been in sublime form, winning over the Celtic fans with his excellent displays and rampant run of goals.
Next up against his old employers, Sinclair will be gunning for further success and enters his latest outing at 7/2 to dispatch anytime, with the Bhoys needing to gain some points quickly after their previous 7-0 thrashing to Barcelona.
Suarez to bag brace or more against Gladbach
With Lionel Messi being out injured, Luis Suarez is Barcelona’s main man in attack alongside Brazilian Neymar, and the Uruguayan frontman is a promising 5/2 to fire in another two or more goals against Borussia Monchengladbach.
The in-form forward has been unstoppable at times so far this current campaign, having struck eight times in as many outings, including a hat-trick against Real Betis and a recent European double over Celtic.
Arsenal to tuck home three or more against Basel
Arsene Wenger’s Gunners have finally found their feet this season and will look to continue their previously rampant run against a travelling Basel outfit at the Emirates.
In front of their home fans, Arsenal are 13/10 to dispatch three or more goals, after doing so in their last three successive games, including last time out against Antonio Conte’s Chelsea. If you’re feeling a little more daring, then four or more strikes from the hosts can be had at 17/5.
Atletico Madrid and Bayern to both score
Arguably the most attractive clash takes place on Spanish soil between Atletico Madrid and German champions Bayern Munich, with tacticians Diego Simeone and Carlo Ancelotti going head-to-head.
The hosts emerged victorious over two legs when they collided last season and the pair of European giants can be backed at promising even-odds for both teams to score during proceedings at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
Napoli to beat Benfica without conceding
Napoli prevailed on the only other two previous meetings with Portuguese titans Benfica and Maurizio Sarri’s side are yet to taste defeat at all this term so far.
The Little Donkeys have five of their seven games this campaign in all competitions, drawing two, and also boast a solid defensive record. Back them to triumph to nil this time around at 15/8.
