Champions League: Five fascinating player picks to watch out for

The Champions League brings its best and brightest back to our TV screens, as the group stage returns for its first November spell of superb fixtures.
So, Coral have compiled five fantastic players to watch out for this week, as top talent gathers across the continent. See who made our list!
Javier Hernandez (Bayer Leverkusen)
Bayer have so far benefited immensely from their summer swiping of the sharpshooter, who has struck six in his last four fixtures, including a lethal brace to help Leverkusen bag a point in their previous frantic 4-4 Champions League goal-fest with Roma.
Now the striker will make his way to the Stadio Olimpico stage for the reverse, and who would bet against him causing havoc again?
Miralem Pjanic (Roma)
Punters will be hoping the second installment of Roma (14/5 to score three or more again) against Leverkusen will provide just as much potency as the first and, if Hernandez is the German’s goal hope, the Giallorossi’s is superb playmaker Pjanic.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina star has been pulling the Eternal City outfit’s strings all season, after Roma managed to dodge apparent Premier League interest in their excelling attacker.
Pjanic has added yet more strings so his bow this term, turning prolific scorer in four of his past five, so should be one on the radar. An early bath against Inter Milan last time out will mean the maestro is now even keener to make amends and impress for the Italians in Europe.
Jesse Lingard (Manchester United)
With four dismal draws in a row on their record, a spark is certainly needed, with skipper Wayne Rooney and wideman Memphis Depay just two of the high-profile attackers in poor form.
Of all the Old Trafford team’s crop of fledgling homegrown talents, it is so far sprightly Lingard who has impressed most, with energetic cameos against the likes of Everton and Crystal Palace.
Should he start on Tuesday, in place of a slower, older peer such as Rooney or Juan Mata, tidy, technical and intelligent Lingard (5/4 in the anytime market) could bring United to life.
Goncalo Guedes (Benfica)
Portugal are renowned for rearing top-draw wingers, and here is one more for the future straight off Benfica’s brilliant production line.
Young-gun Guedes is already an important cog in the Eagles’ attack despite being aged only 18, and could well be another Portuguese prodigy in the making. A goal threat and big-game player, Guedes grabbed one last time out domestically and also previously struck against Atletico Madrid in Europe.
