Tony Pulis could be about to kick off a late spending spree as the transfer window begins to close, with Ignacio Camacho and Nacer Chadli to West Bromwich Albion among the host gossip on today’s back pages.

The Baggies are now looking to possibly smash their transfer record twice in the coming days, as they look to strengthen their squad.

Chadli to West Brom

Reports suggest that The Hawthorns side have agreed a fee of £13m for Tottenham’s Chadli, and is due to finalise his move to Pulis’ side with a medical today.

The Belgium international is set to become the first in what could be a frenzy of arrivals in the coming days, with the Baggies keen to add options all over the pitch.

Adding Chadli’s pace and creativity will likely see him strike up a formidable partnership with in-form Jose Salomon Rondon, after a frustrating window for West Brom – adding just one other permanent player in the form of Matt Phillips.

However, they won’t stop there, with Coral’s official betting partner also linked with an audacious move for Malaga midfield maestro Camacho.

Camacho coming to The Hawthorns?

Reports emerging from Spain indicate that the Baggies are prepared to meet the player’s release clause, which is thought to be around £15.3m. Anchorman Camacho earned a single cap for his country in 2014 and, aged 26, could impress new La Roja boss Julen Lopetegui with a successful move abroad.

A combative midfielder possessing strong tackling and intercepting qualities, Camacho also won the Europa League with Atletico Madrid and would be a breath of fresh air for the Albion engine room.

West Brom will be hoping a deal for Camacho can follow in the footsteps of fellow one cap club member Borja Valero, who did well with them despite relegation from the Premier League in 2008/09.

Eagles eye McCarthy

Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing a deal for Everton midfielder James McCarthy, with the Republic of Ireland international set on leaving Goodison Park after talks with new Toffees boss Ronald Koeman.

Alan Pardew is keen to replace departed ex-Eagles captain Mile Jedinak, and sees McCarthy as the perfect fit after talks for Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko stalled – according to reports.

However, Everton will have to lower their £20m asking price, as Palace have already splashed out on Andros Townsend and Christian Benteke this window.

If a deal can be struck, then it would see McCarthy reunited with his former Hamilton Academical teammate James McArthur.

Luan linked to Liverpool?

Liverpool have reportedly placed a £30m bid for Brazilian striker Luan. The forward finished the Olympics as the competition’s joint-second top scorer as his nation triumphed and finally end their Gold medal curse.

According to reports in Brazil, this has caught Jurgen Klopp’s eye and now sits firmly on top of the manager’s transfer wishlist.

This could spell the end to Daniel Sturridge’s time at Anfield, after yet again being left out of the starting XI at the weekend.
