There’s a treat in store for racing punters today with cracking cards at Ascot, Haydock, and Wincanton.
There are seven races being shown live on ITV, with the Ascot Chase the feature race of the day.
The Coral News Team sift through the action, select their bet of the day, and the best storylines from elsewhere.
Bet of the Day
There’s a simply superb renewal of the Ascot Chase to look forward to at 3:35pm. The likes of Top Notch, Waiting Patiently, and Coney Island all line-up for the feature race of the day.
But the really big story could be the return of Cue Card and one last chance at a big win. Colin Tizzard’s veteran star has fallen by the wayside slightly this season.
After years of big wins, the 12-year-old could be now past it. But maybe he has one more shot at glory left in him?
Paddy Brennan has been handed the mount back after two recent falls under Harry Cobden. Tizzard reckons there’s still a good bit left in the tank and at fairly large prices it’s difficult not to get romantic about his chances.

Can Blaklion justify favouritism?
Nigel Twiston-Davies has sent Blaklion to Haydock for the Grand National Trial Handicap Chase ahead of the big one at Aintree in April.
The National favourite also tops the market here, just ahead of The Dutchman. But is he ripe for success? The nine-year-old certainly looks like one to take on at the short prices and the conditions.
He’s 9lbs higher than he was this time last year when he finished second, so that will definitely count against him.
This is also going to be a long slog in heavy-looking conditions? He’s going to be right in the mix but it seems like better bets could be out there.
The Dutchman is flying on current form, and the likes of Three Faces West, and Wild West Wind could be major players.
Value each-way bet at Wincanton?
There’s a very interesting looking renewal of the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton at 2:45.
Call Me Lord and Ch’Tibello are the main runners in this race, both currently joint-favourites.
However, much further down the odds, at a big price, Flying Tiger could be worth a small play.
He bagged a shock win at the Cheltenham Festival last year for Nick Williams in Fred Winter at 33/1.
He’s failed to reproduce that form yet, but he’s a very speedy horse, and if he gets it right, he could be right in the mix.
