After leading Carolina Panthers to 17 victories this season, including a stunning 49-15 rout of Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship Games, quarterback Cam Newton has emerged as a strong 8/11 favourite to claim Super Bowl MVP honours in NFL betting at Coral.
The first overall draft pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Newton emerged as an elite pivot this season, throwing for 35 touchdowns while adding an impressive 10 rushing TDs, including a pair of scoring runs in the win over Arizona.

Newton leads all players in Sunday night’s Super Bowl 50 matchup at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, pegged as heavy 11/10 chalk to find the end zone himself at some point during the game, and is an 8/1 favourite to score the game’s first TD, and also to score the game’s last major.
Manning guns for second career Super Bowl MVP honour
Denver Broncos pivot Peyton Manning is a 66/1 longshot to carry the ball into the end zone in his fourth appearance on Sunday, but the Super Bowl XLI MVP is Newton’s closest competition on the Super Bowl MVP odds, pegged at 7/2.
Manning has rebounded well from a foot injury that sidelined him for six weeks during the second half of the regular season, leading the Broncos to a pair of playoff victories, including a two-touchdown performance in their shocking 20-18 win over the heavily favoured New England Patriots in the AFC title game.

Despite averaging just 199 passing yards in his two postseason outings, Manning looks poised to return to the form that enabled him to throw for over 250 yards on six occasions this season, moving the betting line on his total passing yards to 235.5, with 20/23 odds tagged to both the OVER and UNDER.
The betting line on Newton’s total passing yards is pegged at 238.5, but Manning is an intriguing +11.5 in quarterback passing yards match betting against Newton, and an 8/13 favourite to complete more passes than his opponent.
Receiving and rushing props betting
Panthers tight end Greg Olsen leads the way as 11/4 chalk to tally the most receiving yards at Super Bowl 50, followed by Broncos’ Emmanuel Sanders at 3/1, and DeMaryius Thomas at 10/3.
Carolina’s Jonathan Stewart is an even money bet to pile up the most rushing yards, followed by Broncos’ CJ Anderson at 7/4, while Newton trails at an attractive 6/1.

While, the hundreds of Super Bowl props bets available at Coral focus on the action on the gridiron, some of the most popular betting options focus on pre-game and post-game activities.
Pre-game and post-game Super Bowl props bets
Both the Panthers and Broncos sport 10/11 odds of winning the pre-game coin toss in this week’s only true 50/50 proposition.
Carolina won the toss in their only previous Super Bowl appearance back in 2004, while the coin has been kind to Denver just twice in their seven previous appearances in the big game, with the club failing to win the toss in either of their victories at Super Bowl XXXII and XXXIII.
Lady Gaga will sing The Star Spangled Banner at Super Bowl 50, following in the footsteps of divas like Christina Aguilera and Renee Fleming.

Singers have belted out the American national anthem in over 130 seconds just twice in the past 10 years, however the betting line on the length of the recent Golden Globe winner’s rendition is pegged at 137.5, with the UNDER favoured with 8/11 odds.
Strong 7/4 odds say that this year’s Super Bowl MVP will thank his teammates first, with 8/1 odds that he will give the first nod to fans, and 11/5 odds that he will first thank God.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is a distant 50/1 bet of being recognized first, while the odds of the MVP thanking himself first are a long 150/1.
