Bryson DeChambeau cut to 7/1 To win US Masters
Published:Can the American power his way to the Green Jacket?
Bryson DeChambeau has been cut to 7/1 from 15/2 by our traders to win the 2020 US Masters ahead of the start at Augusta.
The US Open winner tops the betting ahead of the World No 1 and 2 respectively – Dustin Johnson (8/1) and Jon Rahm (17/2).
DeChambeau made post-lockdown headlines after returning to the Tour with a bulked-up physique, with his powerful drive and approach play helping him to victory in the US Open. It’s thought those same attributes could give him a boost in Augusta, which has seen him backed heavily into favourite.
Defending champion Tiger Woods is 33/1 to prevail again in what would be his 16th Major success of his career.
“Not many people at the start of the year would have predicted that Bryson DeChambeau would go off as the favourite for the US Masters and have this much confidence behind him in the betting. The American is a changed man now though, and he is the one punters feel will power his way to victory at Augusta this week,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“Bubba Watson has an excellent record at Augusta and is proving popular to roll back the years and win his third Green Jacket. That is not the case for Tiger Woods, as the defending champion has been friendless in his bid to repeat what he did in 2019,” added Hill.
