Callum Smith 7/2 to defeat Canelo Alvarez

British WBA World super-middleweight champion the underdog
Callum Smith is 7/2 to cause an upset in his super-middleweight bout against Canelo Alvarez on Saturday.
Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is the number one pound-for-pound boxer on the planet and is the odds-on 1/5 favourite to beat the British boxer on his return to the ring.
Smith has been out of the ring since November 2019, when he extended his professional record to 27-0 while retaining his WBA (Super) and The Ring super-middleweight titles against John Ryder in Liverpool.
Alvarez returns after a similar spell out, last competing in a WBA light heavyweight title win over Sergey Kovalev in Las Vegas to move to 53-1-2 for his career.
Coral’s John Hill said: “Callum Smith faces arguably the biggest test in boxing this weekend when he comes up against Canelo Alvarez. The British boxer is the underdog in the betting to inflict just the second defeat on Canelo’s career.”
