Boris Johnson favourite to replace David Cameron as PM

Ahead of tomorrow’s announcement of the result of the EU referendum, chief Leave campaigner Boris Johnson is 2-1 favourite with Coral to replace David Cameron as Conservative leader.  Johnson is also 2-1 favourite to become the next Prime Minister, while his Remain rivals Theresa May and George Osborne are 4-1 and 11-2 respectively to be next Tory leader, and both 6-1 to be next Prime Minister.

“Although Boris Johnson and the Leave team are odds-on to lose the referendum vote, the betting suggests defeat would not spell the end of his Tory leadership claims, indeed he is favourite not just to succeed David Cameron as leader of the Conservatives, but also to replace him at Number Ten,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
