Bookies suspend bets on van Gaal leaving United

Leading bookmaker Coral tonight suspended betting on the next Premier League Manager to leave his job after a sudden surge of bets on Louis van Gaal. Van Gaal was 1-3, then 1-4 before Coral pulled the plug with social media sites awash with speculation that van Gaal has left, or is about to leave, Manchester United.
Coral has also suspended betting on Jose Mourinho’s next club as they saw a more than usual number on bets in the last hour on the former Chelsea boss heading to Manchester United as his next destination.
“It’s difficult to be sure if he sudden run of money on van Gaal was stimulated by the social media rumours or is itself evidence that the rumours are true. Either way we thought it sensible to pull the plug and wait for the dust to settle,” said Coral’s John Hill.
