Jim Crowley: “I think Huboor has a really good chance”
Coral ambassador previews his Newbury rides on Saturday
12.30 Newbury – Jaaizah
She has had just the two runs. She ran very well last time over a mile on soft ground. She’s stepping up to a mile and a quarter and that should suit her on breeding. She will probably want better ground than the soft ground at Haydock and she gets that here. I think she has a really good chance. She has got to improve but I think she will do.
13.05 Newbury – Rhoscolyn
He has had just the one run and ran well up at Doncaster. He was a bit green and in need of the race. It was an encouraging race. Hopefully he will have improved for that race and should run well.
13.40 Newbury – Outcast
She ran at Newbury a couple of weeks ago. She ran a decent race that day and finished fifth. She looked green on the good to soft ground. She should take a step forward from that and should be competitive in this race.
14.50 Newbury – Huboor
She won twice as a two-year-old. She is a good tough sort. She ran well at Royal Ascot in the Sandringham, not beaten far, and she should have a very good chance in this race.
16:00 Newbury – Tabdeed
He is a nice horse, very low mileage. He works very well at home. He hasn’t really shown that he’s up to Group level yet. He ran well up at Newcastle and is a smashing horse.
He could run a decent race but it does look a competitive race on paper. There are some smart horses in here. Judicial, Shine So Bright and Mum’s Tipple are all decent types. So Tabdeed is going to have to step up to the plate.
