Goodwood 13.50 – Rewaayat

I’ve not ridden Rewaayat this season, but he’s had a good campaign so far, winning both his starts at Lingfield and Salisbury.

As a result his handicap mark has gone up to a point where he very nearly got into the Stewards’ Cup itself, rather than this consolation race.

We are carrying joint top weight here as a result, but he will love this fast ground, I’m happy enough with his draw of 12 – I always think over six furlongs here you want to be drawn low to middle so this is not the end of the world – and I think we’ve got a good chance.

Goodwood 14.25 – Platitude

Platitude has run well here in the past, which as I’ve said before this week is always a plus on such a unique track, and he’s run OK on his three starts this season without getting his head in front.

Laafy looks the one to beat although I wonder if he might just not be at his best on this quick ground, and it would be no surprise to see my fellow run into a place.

Goodwood 15.00 – Enbihaar

Enbihaar is my best chance of a winner on this final day. She gave Manuela De Vega a stone and a five-length beating in this race twelve months ago, this time we’re getting three pounds from her.

There are two three-year-olds in the race getting the weight this time around, but on what we’ve seen so far neither seem superstars, while my mare will love this fast ground and this 1m 6f trip.

Last time at Newmarket she just got stuck in the mud, and that was over two furlongs shorter than here, and while Manuela De Vega has won her two starts this season, she will need to have improved a lot to turnaround last year’s defeat to us.

Goodwood 15.35 – Tinto 

Tinto has some solid form to his name, winning at Newmarket four runs ago, and finishing a decent third behind A’Ali in the Coral Charge two runs ago.

He was disappointing at Newbury last time, so needs to bounce back from that, but on the whole he’s a consistent sort who could run well at a big price here. His draw of eight is fine, and with that group form to his name, he’s not without a chance.

Goodwood 16.10 – Fleeting Prince

Fleeting Prince is obviously held in fairly high regard by connections as he’s been quite highly tried so far, and that is reflected in his mark for this race, as we’re off top weight here. However, if he appreciates the drop in class he could be competitive here.

Goodwood 16.40 – Tasfeeq

My final ride of this year’s Glorious Goodwood is on Tasfeeq for the boss.

I’ve not sat on him at home, but I’ve heard nothing but good reports about him so is a horse I’m looking forward to getting on.

There are a few in here with racecourse experience, which can make a difference, but Marcus Tregoning and I teamed up with Mohaather for such a great day on Wednesday, and it would be great to end the week on a high for Sheikh Hamdan.
