Big price upgrade on Eto’o and Lukaku scoring together again
Published:Samuel Eto’o and Romelu Lukaku put to bed their own personal scoring droughts in the last round of Premier League fixtures and 11/2 is the price that they are both on target again in the next batch of games.
2014 is a new year and Chelsea will hope that it brings a change of success in front of goal for their strikers away from Stamford Bridge, as no Chelsea striker managed a single Premier League away goal throughout the whole of 2013.
Next for Chelsea on New Year’s Day is a trip to a Southampton team that have not kept a clean sheet in their last four at St Mary’s and conceded three times in two of these four fixtures.
Meanwhile, the last time that Eto’o scored for Chelsea against West Brom in November, he also netted against Schalke in the Champions League in the fixture previous.
Lukaku ended a barren five-game streak with the winner in Everton’s 2-1 win at home to Southampton and his next fixture comes away at Stoke.
Like Eto’o, Lukaku also scored in successive November appearances, with the latter being in the 4-0 success over Stoke at Goodison Park.
Mark Hughes’ men don’t come into the game in the best form, with three defeats in their last four and they have conceded eight times across their last two outings.
However, the one problem is that an Everton player hasn’t scored in the club’s last four visits to the Britannia, with their only goals in this period being two own goals.
In terms of individual prices for the pair, Eto’o is 5/4 to score at any time in the 90 minutes against Southampton, with Lukaku 6/5 to net at any time against Stoke.
The price on this double would typically be just less than 3/1, which goes to show the excellence of this enhanced double.
