Odds and in-depth look at UCL clash

It’s last chance saloon for PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League. Both sides are without a point after two games, making tonight’s clash at Philips Stadion a must win for both sides.

You can catch the action live on BT Sport 3, with kick off at 5:55pm. But ahead of the action, we’ve got a Big Match Breakdown to get you in the mood…

Head-to-Head

The pair’s only previous meetings came in 2008, as PSV edged past Spurs on penalties in the UEFA Cup round of 16 following a 1-1 draw on aggregate.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men can take some heart from their long-term record against Dutch sides, winning seven and drawing four of their 15 clashes. That included a 4-1 mauling of FC Twente in 2010-11.

Likely XIs

PSV rarely stray from their 4-3-3 system under boss Mark van Bommel, and their line-up is also pretty consistent. It’s likely to be a front three of Steven Berwijn, Luuk de Jong and Mexico star Hirving Lozano once again.

Tottenham will be boosted by the return of Christian Eriksen, who is expected to partner Lucas Moura in attacking midfield. Moussa Dembele could return to the starting line-up after being benched for Saturday’s trip to West Ham United.

Key Battles

Pochettino’s men are certainly the more powerful side. PSV will have to use all their wiles to make any headway in the middle of the park, against tenacious Eric Dier and the imposing centre-back duo of Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez.

Spurs are also likely to dominate in the air, with Harry Kane a huge threat in set-piece situations.

As regards PSV’s threat, the Eindhoven outfit have arguably the Eredivisie’s best player in Lozano. With electric pace, real vision and a fierce strike, he’s already on 10 goals for the season. It’s a big test for Ben Davies at left-back.

Match Odds

In the Match Betting, Spurs are 23/20 favourites for the win. It’s 23/10 for a PSV triumph, while the Draw is available at 27/10.

Six of PSV’s last 10 games have seen four or more goals scored, and we make it 6/4 for Over 3.5 Goals again in this clash.

Meanwhile, it’s 13/5 for Tottenham to Win and Both Teams to Score. And Pochettino’s men are 14/1 for a third 3-1 victory since the start of April.

Kane leads the Anytime Goalscorer betting at odds of 5/6. Meanwhile, the England ace is 5/2 to net Two or More Goals. As for Eriksen, he’s 5/2 to find the net on his return from injury.

For PSV, Lozano and Luuk de Jong are 17/10 apiece to get on the scoresheet.
