Mininggold can collect at Beverley for in-form Tim

Trainer Tim Easterby has his team in terrific shape and Mininggold looks to hold leading claims of providing him with another winner in the 5f handicap on today’s card at Beverley (16:40).

The filly scored twice as a juvenile and opened her account for the season when coming from off the pace to beat Etienne Gerard by 1 1/2 lengths over course and distance 18 days ago.

Mininggold was well on top at the finish and the runner-up has since come out and bolted up by three lengths at Leicester.

The third home Showbizzy has also gone on to tatse success and that gives the form a strong look.

Although now 5lb higher in the weights, Mininggold’s revised mark of 68 does not look beyond her on the pick of her form.

She also shaped as if still in good nick last time out when not getting the clearest of runs and finishing a 2 1/2 length seventh over course and distance.

Burtonwood value to get back to winning ways

Burtonwood is back down to a handy mark and looks decent value to get back to winning ways in the other 5f handicap on the card (16:05).

The Julie Camacho trained gelding scored in good style over course and distance back in June off a mark of 64, also running a blinder at the track four starts back when third off 68.

Burtonwood has since run very well to finish third in a competitive affair at Pontefract and has had excuses in his latest two Beverley efforts.

The four-year-old got hampered a crucial stage in the first of those, then lost all chance at the start last time out when dipping and getting bumped before being denied a clear run.

Burtonwood has since been eased further in the weights and is now able to race off mark just 1lb higher than when last successful.

That makes the son of Acclamation a big player in this. granted better fortune than he has enjoyed of late.

Mustashry makes plenty of appeal at Sandown

Mustashry has a progressive profile and looks decent value to get the better of favourite Yorker in the Listed 1m feature contest on today’s card at Sandown (15:50).

The Sir Michael Stoute trained three-year-old has won two of his six starts, and looked one to keep onside in the last of those when staying on strongly from off the pace to beat Pirouette by a neck in a decent class 2 handicap at Ascot.

That view was confirmed when Mustashry ran a blinder to finish a 1/2 lengths second of 20 to Firmament in a hot handicap at York when taking on his elders for the first time.

After being held-up well off the pace by jockey Paul Hanagan, the son of Tamayuz ran on strongly to be gaining all the way to the line.

It was an excellent run given how the race panned out, and the winner is a thriving sort who has since gone on to finish an unlucky second at Ascot off 6lb higher.

Judged on that run, Mustashry looks well worth a crack at this level and he can make the most of the 5lb he receives from Yorker to land the spoils at a track which should play to his strengths.

Bedrock holds solid claims

Bedrock ran well when runner-up last time out and can go one better to land the 1m 2f handicap (17.00) to provide red-hot trainer William Haggas with another winner.

The three-year-old got back to winning ways in first time cheekpieces at Haydock back in June, then lost little in defeat off 3lb higher when beaten 4 1/2 length by Scarlet Dragon in a six-runner contest at Newbury.

Although no match for the easy winner, Bedrock stuck to the task well against a thriving sort who has since gone on to land a competitive affair at York in good style.

That gives the form a strong look in the context of this contest and Bedrock appeals as the type who should may have even more to offer.

Other pluses are that the stable is operating at an incredible strike rate of just over 31.5 per cent for this month and Haggas has been successful with 20 per cent of his runners at the venue in the past 12 months.
