Connections obviously believe the selection kept enough in reserve that day to go again here. Nicholls has won two of the last four renewals, with Al Ferof in 2012 and Caid Du Berlais in 2014.
Jockey Harry Cobden continues to partner Frodon, so all looks in place for him make it four on the bounce here.

Lovers of an outsider may find interest in Thomas Crapper each-way hard to pass up, as the highly-experienced nine-year-old looks to get back to the kind of form that saw him win twice before around Prestbury Park over hurdles, albeit three years ago.
Robin Dickin’s ace was also twice a runner-up at the Cheltenham Festival, behind Don Poli in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle and Irish Cavalier in the Novices’ Handicap Chase.
Thomas Crapper absolutely loves this venue and has a winning performance to his credit this year.
Taking a handicap chase at Newbury back in April, he’s fitted with a tongue-strap for the first time, which connections are hoping will bring about marked-improvement.
If it does, Thomas Crapper each-way looks to be very well-handicapped indeed, especially at what’s expected to be large odds.
