Coral’s bet of the day
- BDO legend Adams is current world number two
- Wolfie boasts eight major trophies
- Adams has got better with age and has three world titles
Back Adams to beat White at 13/10
With the Grand Slam of Darts finally upon us, the event’s 2015 edition official betting partner Coral give a bet of the day for punters to take, where Martin Adams is a great shout at 13/10 to beat Ian White.
The duo go up against each other in their first Group B game of the tournament on day one in the evening session in the hope of getting off to a great start as they aim to qualify in the top two to reach the knockout rounds.
BDO legend and current world number two of the organisation Adams finally takes part in this event for the first time and perhaps at the best time too as he has certainly got better with age.
Age just a number to Wolfie
Despite being 59, he is still certainly not past his peak and is going strong, having had a highly successful season once again. In the BDO this year, he has won the Dutch and Hal Opens, while has also reached the final of the World Championship, Hal Masters and German Open and got to semis in many others.
He may be largely untested against current PDC players, but certainly doesn’t know how to lose often so can take that confidence into his clash with fellow Englishman White.
Adams trumps White with major success
Diamond has never won a major title to date, even in his BDO years prior to 2010, and in his only other appearance at the Grand Slam back in 2011 he failed to progress past the groups.
Wolfie Adams is certainly a cult hero to his fans, with his trademark howl as he walks onto the stage, and has already rattled the stars of the PDC with his presence.
Peter Wright took offence to apparent remarks made by the veteran, with Snakebite biting back, so Adams will no doubt be spurred on by that to show hat he can compete with the best in the game.
