Bet of the day: Wednesday’s racing
Published:We’re after more of the same
Followers of our horse racing tips bagged an impressive winner on Tuesday, with NAP Sakhalin Star doing the business at Ffos Las off a stunning 9/2. A nice price winner coming so early in the week sets us up perfectly, meaning there’s profit in the bank in good time for what promises to be a thrilling few days.
Want more of the same? We certainly do, and give our Wednesday NAP below, while those looking to land a useful multiple, such as a Lucky 15 or Yankee, can follow our race-by-race sections, which have been laid out below. Click here to place your bets at Coral.
Desert Cross the one to be on
Concentrating on the seven legs taking place at Bath, we get started at 2.10pm with a novice stakes, decided over the snappy five furlongs sprint distance. Golden Salute is picked to get the day off on the winning foot, but those looking to trust our NAP wait patiently for the 4.10pm. Eight runners are expected for this handicap over 1m 6f, and we’re all in on Desert Cross.
The Jonjo O’Neill trained four-year-old gelding has plenty of experience behind him, and boasts a couple of wins, scoring at Bath and Windsor, but he’s never far away from the prize money, placing third in each of his last two starts, and ending in the top-three in eight of his last 11. A consistent sort, you’re always guaranteed a decent effort for your stake money, and that’s half the battle.
Goes for an in form yard
Desert Cross was last seen third at Nottingham earlier this month, finishing behind Falak and Graceful Lady over today’s trip. He wasn’t beaten by much that day, losing second in the closing stages. The fact he took to the trip without drama, and connections have him out again so quickly, go as positives for backers, and we’re happy to pick up on that.
Jonjo O’Neill’s yard is enjoying a bit of form so far this summer, and they’ll be confident the NAP can go and build on that. Has been given every chance by the handicapper and backers should see him go off at a handy price. Will need a share of luck, but the clues are there and it looks about time he was winning again.
