Top seed Stan Wawrinka and Lukas Rosol go head-to-head in the Geneva Open semi-finals this afternoon, in the hope of meeting either Marin Cilic or David Ferrer in the final ahead of the 2016 French Open that starts on Sunday.

Wawrinka has bragging rights over Rosol
Two of those duels were in best-of-five encounters (Davis Cup and Australian Open), but the other was in this Geneva clay court event last year when the Swiss number two edged his opponent in the last 16.
While reigning French Open champion Wawrinka has won both his matches this tournament in straight sets, Rosol has come through his last two in three, against tricky pair John Isner and Andrey Kuznetsov. The Czech, therefore, can challenge the home hope again.
Wawrinka will certainly hope to use the home crowd to his advantage on his way to the perfect preparation ahead of his Roland Garros defence, as he has never won this tournament before. He can follow in the path of compatriots Claudio Mezzadri and Marc Rosset, though, who lifted this trophy in the late 1980s.
