Wales 13/8 to be British Isles team that goes furthest
Coral have come up with a whole host of tasty specials for punters to take during Euro 2016, and one that punters should consider taking a glance at the ‘British Isles team to go furthest’ market.
Odds of 13/8 say that Wales will outlast England, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, and it is this price that we have picked for our Friday bet of the day, ahead of an action-packed weekend of last 16 fixtures.

Dragons have been best of British Isles so far
Wales, who boast joint-top tournament scorer Gareth Bale, come into their first knockout round clash as the only British Isles nation to top their pool, after defeating Slovakia and Russia in Group B. England, meanwhile, could only finish second.
As a result of the Dragons’ success, they have been placed in by far the easiest half of the draw, as they avoid all of hosts France, world champions Germany, title holders Spain, Italy and the Three Lions.
Northern Ireland are the last 16 opponents for Chris Coleman’s men, who are the heavy favourites to progress. So, that already rules the Green and White Army out of this bet.
Following that, Wales face a battle with one of Belgium or Hungary. The Red Devils are likely to come through that, but have once again failed to live up to their promise after losing convincingly to Italy in Group E and then only just scraping past Sweden, who finish bottom.
Wales placed in favourable half of draw
As stated above, all the major nations are in the bottom half of the draw, meaning the best teams that the Dragons could meet in the semis would be Croatia or Portugal.
Meanwhile, the Republic of Ireland have been handed a tie with tournament host and favourites France, who are heavily fancied to come through.
Les Bleus would then likely challenge England in the quarters, as the Three Lions are expected to topple Iceland, and with the backing of their home crowd should be able to send Roy Hodgson’s men packing too.
That would mean that Wales have a great chance of being last British Isles team standing, though even if they go out at the same stage as another then dead heat rules would apply.
