Coral’s bet of the day

  • Title chasers Spurs are in great form
  • Stoke have won just one of last five
  • Both clubs have scored in each of their previous five

Spurs win and both teams score at 7/2 (max stake £20)

Tottenham hope to gain ground on Premier League leaders Leicester City in the title race, after the Foxes drew with West Ham United on Sunday, and can cut the deficit to just five points by beating Stoke City on Monday night.

As part of Coral’s bet of the day, we have picked out the terrific 7/2 price (max stake £20) on Spurs winning and both teams scoring, so read on to find out why you should take advantage of this enhanced offer.

Mauricio Pochettino has worked wonders with Tottenham in such a short time, and his achievements have perhaps been unfairly overshadowed by Leicester’s shock success this term.

But they are currently on a roll, especially after smashing a somewhat resurgent Manchester United 3-0 last time out, and have widened the gap with Manchester City and Arsenal to five points now in recent weeks.

Both teams on scoring run

On top of that, they’ve scored in each of their last five games, as have Stoke, which is why this bet is likely to come off.

Spurs have in fact found it tough against the Potters in recent seasons, having not beaten them in three meetings including the 2-2 draw earlier this term at White Hart Lane, so it could be a close occasion again.

But, after winning just one of their past five in the Premier League with a 4-1 loss at the hands of Liverpool occurring last week, Mark Hughes’ men are lacking in confidence.

With the likes of joint-top scorer in the league Harry Kane up front, and Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Nacer Chadli and Erik Lamela, Tottenham should have no trouble finding the net and winning.
