Our ace lines up at Haydock
We kept our 100 per cent winning record for the week going on Wednesday with our NAP of the day, Deeds Not Words, doing as expected at Wolverhampton. Followers were delighted, further boosting the profits in their pockets.

There’s better than the fav
Concentrating on an interesting six-race card at Haydock, where the early going has been marked down as good to soft, the schedule gets started at 2.10pm with a tricky handicap, solved over 1m 3f. The winner of that race for us is Nordic Combined, but in terms of a NAP, we’re sitting patiently until the penultimate race, the 4.10pm maiden stakes, run over six furlongs.
Coral traders have Peach Melba marked as the early favourite, but we think that’s worth opposing, and do so with the talented Benjamin Thomas. This three-year-old gelding, prepped by John Quinn and ridden by Dougie Costello, has done everything but win so far, with his stats showing four seconds and a third from five previous starts.
Of course, the danger is that he’s a horse that enjoys company and will be happy to run alongside rivals without sticking his head in front and winning a race, but we don’t think that’s how it is with the selection.
Benjamin Thomas expected to finally score
Last seen finding only one too good, Castle Hill Cassie, at Pontefract less than a fortnight ago, he was beaten a short-head that day, with followers convinced his time would never come. There was, once again, plenty to like about the effort put in however, and he was seen running on strongly at the finish. A bit more luck and it would’ve been his day.
We expect things to finally fall into place for Benjamin Thomas on Thursday, and the fact connections have him out again so quickly shows they’re confident. They fit a visor for the first time, in the hope that’ll get things moving, and at 2/1, he’s a better bet than the favourite.
