Glamorous Approach seeking a hat-trick

The Munster Oaks Stakes, off at 3.20pm and decided over the one mile four furlongs trip, sees us throw the weight of our support behind Glamorous Approach. Expected to be extremely popular with punters on the day, the four-year-old filly has already proven her worth over this trip.

An experienced sort, she arrives brimming with confidence, having won each of her last two goes, and a hat-trick would come as no surprise to anyone. First at the Curragh over 1m 4f in May, when going off as race favourite, she followed that up with another visit to the winner’s enclosure just last week at the same track, over a slightly shorter test.

Qatari Hunter odds to win the Diamond Stakes at Dundalk is Coral's bet of the day for September 30th.

A lot to like about the NAP

A bit more of a price that day, she held off race favourite Laganore by 1 ¼ lengths under the ride of Kevin Manning. The pair timed their assault to perfection, hitting the front and pushing for home, leaving the chasing pack for dust. There was enough there to ensure punters would want to keep on the right side of her next time.

Glamorous Approach really has been giving her best this year, but we’re confident there’s still a bit more to come. You can’t help but be impressed by how she’s handled herself in the last two starts, and although this is a step up in terms of competition, she more than deserves her place. Manning is back onboard, which is a plus, while we take heart from the fact connections have her out again so quickly.
