  • Wrath Of Titans odds make Gigginstown entrant Munster National overnight market leader
  • Two wins in three for selection since joining Gordon Elliott’s stable
  • Kerry National victory and jockey Bryan Cooper riding gelding are persuasive

Wrath Of Titans odds among top Munster National tips

Ireland’s big race this Sunday is the Munster National at Limerick (16:40), and the powerful connections of Gigginstown House Stud have plenty of entrants.

Of those, Wrath Of Titans looks a worthy overnight market leader because of a recent victory over the 3m trip.

There’s more to like about this horse than his five-length win in the Kerry National at Listowel’s Harvest Festival last month, though. Read on as Coral experts explain why this is our bet of the day for October 9…

In-form since joining Elliott

Now trained by Gordon Elliott, the seven-year-old gelding has two wins in three starts for his new handler.

Another plus is the fact retained rider Bryan Cooper opts to take over in the saddle. He’s had the choice of six mounts owned by connections, so him siding with the selection says a lot.

Prior to winning the Kerry National, Wrath Of Titans took a rated hurdle at Downpatrick carrying 11st 10lb. That means winning this chase contest with 10st 5lb on board is well within him.

Question marks over race rivals

On paper, the Munster National may look wide open, yet there are doubts about Wrath of Titans’ opposition here. Henry De Bromhead duo Elder Statesman and On Fiddlers Green may not stay the distance.

The other Gigginstown horses, meanwhile, don’t have the profile of their stablemate. Wrath Of Titans odds do look the most exploitable here, so side with him to take the Munster National in his stride.
