Murray a terrific 3/1 to beat Djokovic
In the last premier tournament before the ATP Tour Finals at London’s O2 Arena, the Paris Masters, two of the world’s best tennis stars Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic collide once more for title success.
Murray is the subject of Coral’s bet of the day on this occasion, and has incredibly enticing odds of 3/1 to beat his old foe in the final on hard indoor courts in France’s capital.
That price is all the more tasty for a number of reasons, and read on to find out why you should take a great chance on the double Grand Slam-winning Scot.
Murray knows how to beat Djokovic in big events
British number one and world number three Murray has beaten the Serb on nine occasions before, including most recently in the Canadian Masters final on this same surface 6-4 4-6 6-3.
In history, Murray has been able to get the better of Djokovic on the bigger stage, having defeated him at events such as the Wimbledon and US Open finals, the Olympic Games, and the Cincinnati and Miami Masters.
On top of that, he is currently on one of the best stretches of form of his career, and will be spurred on from his efforts in the Davis Cup this year, where he has almost single-handedly lead Great Britain into the final, where they face Belgium later in November.
Scot in fine form and full of confidence
Murray has certainly been at his best this current Paris Masters tournament, having easily dispatched early challengers Borna Coric and upcoming Davis Cup opponent David Goffin at a loss of just four games.
The 28-year-old then saw off Richard Gasquet, before seeing off David Ferrer in the semis in straight sets, which he said of his own display afterwards: “I played aggressive tennis and was particularly successful at the net.”
So, what are you waiting for punters? This price of 3/1 for Murray to win, and thus join other British Paris Masters champions Greg Rusedski and Tim Henman, is too good not to take.
