Coral’s bet of the day
- Murphy has netted in last two fixtures against Boro
- Ipswich have beaten Middlesbrough in last three home matches
- Tractor Boys undefeated against them at home since 1993
Murphy scores and Ipswich win at 9/2 (max stake £20)
Ipswich Town’s Mick McCarthy may have become a surprise overnight singing sensation, after a duet with Linda Martin in 1991 was recently unearthed, and he will certainly be hoping his team will be on song when they host Middlesbrough on Friday night.

Luckily for the Tractor Boys, they go into the clash in full confidence having won their last three home matches against Boro (scoring nine times in those encounters), while they have not lost to them at Portman Road since 1993.
That is why Ipswich are featured in Coral’s fantastic bet of the day tip, with odds of 9/2 for star striker Daryl Murphy to score anytime and McCarthy’s men triumph (max stake £20).
This match special is all the more enticing given that the above two markets if taken separately are 7/4 apiece.
Magic Murphy to help beat Boro again

Prolific Irishman Murphy has been a revelation since joining the Suffolk side in 2013, netting almost one in two in the Championship, and also enjoys scoring against Middlesbrough.
He struck in both fixtures last term with the Northeast outfit, including in the 2-0 victory at home, and has three goals in total against them for the Tractor Boys.
In the league this season, meanwhile, Ipswich are currently on a great run of six matches being undefeated, three of which included impressive victories over the likes over Bolton Wanderers, Rotherham United and Charlton Athletic.
Boro, on the other hand, have list 3-0 recently to Hull City, while were also convincingly seen off at home in the Capital One Cup by Everton, so are not in the best of form.
