Coral’s bet of the day

  • Bayern Munich won 3-1 seven times last term
  • Bavarian giants possessed best away record in Bundesliga
  • Carlo Ancelotti has a super record against Inter

Bayern 11/1 to maul Mancini’s men 3-1

Bayern Munich come into their International Champions Cup clash with Inter Milan after recording just one defeat in their last 17 competitive games. Meanwhile, Inter Milan are coming off the back of a campaign which saw them finish fourth, missing out on Champions League football yet again.

Bavarian giants Bayern won 3-1 seven times in all competitions last year, making it their most frequent result. So, Coral have the Munich men priced at 11/1 to overcome Roberto Mancini’s side by the same 3-1 scoreline at the Bank of America Stadium, North Carolina, for our latest bet of the day.

Munich won the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal last term and are a star-studded threat, possessing the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Arturo Vidal and Euro 2016 star Renato Sanches.

Carlo key to Inter outing

As AC Milan manager from 2001-09, new Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti won 50 per cent of his Milan derbies against the Nerazzurri, winning five more times than he lost. While, Munich lost just twice in the league last year, and look certain to overcome Mancini’s Inter.

The German giants seem in great shape considering their previous pre-season games, the highlight of which came against Manchester City as they eased to a 1-0 victory.

Bayern also defeated Landshut 3-0 recently and the team look slick, having begun to shake off the tactical shackles attached onto the side by former gaffer Pep Guardiola’s strict system.

Franck Ribery has been their most influential player this summer, and will likely line-up alongside USA international Julian Green. The Tampa born winger has bags of pace and should worry accident prone Andrea Ranocchia in the heart of Italian team Inter’s defence.

Munich will hope to add the Nerazzurri to their list of slayed teams this summer, and build up a head of steam coming into a competitive Bundesliga campaign.
