Bet of the day: Man Utd and Chelsea 11/5 to draw

Coral’s bet of the day
- Three of Chelsea’s last four trips to Old Trafford have ended evenly
- Man Utd are without a win in seven across all competitions
- While, the Blues are little better with two victories from last six
Manchester United and Chelsea 11/5 to split spoils
As the Premier League prepares to head into 2016, there are still a handful of fantastic festive fixtures to enjoy first, with Manchester United versus Chelsea the star attraction.
Our bet of the day accordingly reflects the stature of this scuffle, with excellent odds of 11/5 for the Red Devils and Blues to draw at Old Trafford, as both scramble to restore some pride before the calendar years ends.
Recent history hints at even Old Trafford result
Chelsea’s last two trips to the red half of Manchester have seen the Londoners draw on both occasions, with three of their last four visits to Old Trafford across all competitions also resulting in the capital club picking up just a point.
In fact, the Stamford Bridge side have won on their Mancunian rival’s territory just once in the past seven attempts so, considering the instability at both clubs, a draw looks the most convincing result to occur.
Blues and Red Devils lacking killer edge
Both teams have enough talent to score goals, but are similarly lacking the attacking edge to finish off fixtures, with Man Utd now out of the Premier League top four and Chelsea languishing in 15th place.
To further back up the case for a splitting of spoils in the Northwest, the Blues have drawn six in normal time so far this term in all competitions, including last time out against Premier League new boys Watford.
While, Louis van Gaal’s guys are without a win in seven, including three draws, and have not tasted a triumph on home soil since November.
