Bet of the Day: Leicester City and Fleetwood to both find the net
Published:
Cagey first meeting unlikely to be repeated
Leicester City and Fleetwood Town played out a 0-0 draw in their FA Cup Third Round tie. But the pair’s form suggests that drab game was a one-off, with an entertaining fixture likely at the King Power Stadium.
The Cod Army head to Leicester having won five successive away games, scoring 11 goals in the process. But they’ve only kept two clean sheets in that period.
As for Claude Puel’s hosts, they’ve scored in five of their last six at home. That’s a run which has included games against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Both teams will also be brimming with confidence after their results last weekend.
The Foxes took a point at Stamford Bridge, while Uwe Rosler’s charges picked up a 2-1 win at Southend United. Coral’s Bet of the Day is Both Teams to Score at 11/10.
Foxes to start strong once again
Claude Puel’s men have frequently stamped their authority on games in the opening half-hour. The East Midlands outfit have now led at the 30-minute mark in six of their previous 13 games. They’ve also been ahead after 15 minutes in five of those.
As for Fleetwood, they’ve trailed at that stage in the recent defeats to Wigan Athletic and Gillingham.
With star striker Jamie Vardy fit again for the Foxes, chances are they’ll be far more clinical than they were at Highbury Stadium 10 days ago.
Result After 30 Minutes: Leicester is a 27/20 shot, but Leicester to lead after 15 Minutes could be an even better call at 13/4.
Cole to continue good away form
Nobody has played a bigger part in Fleetwood’s strong away form this term than Devante Cole. The forward has netted in 11 different games this season, with seven of those coming away from home.
He’s also strong in this competition. As well as netting in each of the first two FA Cup rounds this term, the 22-year-old grabbed a brace as the Lancashire club knocked out Shrewsbury Town in 2016-17.
Cole to Score Anytime is available at 14/5, while 9/1 says he’s Last Goalscorer for the seventh time this season.
