Italy 13/2 to beat Germany and both score
With a raft of fascinating friendly rumbles taking place across the continent, Coral have plucked out a plum wager featuring European giants Germany and Italy for our latest enticing bet of the day.
Having seen the Germans capitulate to England, and now with world class keeper Manuel Neuer missing, you can grab odds of 13/2 for the always alert Azzurri to defeat Die Mannschaft but both teams to be on target.
These two decorated teams still have plenty of tinkering to do before Euro 2016, so we expect goals at both ends, especially as the Italians are tipped to field a gaggle of their exciting fledgling forwards, while Germany boast their usual excellent attacking suspects. Azzurri to keep hold of Germany record
Present and past form in this fixture bodes well for Conte and co, as Italy have not been beaten in any of their last six dust-ups with Die Mannschaft and hold an impressive record of 15 victories to seven. In three of those past six frays Italy were also triumphant, with both teams firing in five of those match-ups.
While, the Azzurri managed to come through Euro 2016 qualifying unscathed and have been defeated only once in their last seven outings, having impressed in a recent 1-1 draw with reigning European champions Spain.
By comparison, defensively depleted Die Mannschaft may find it much trickier to find a way past organised Italy, having succumbed to successive defeats against fierce rivals France and England. Low’s lads leaked five goals across those clashes but, crucially, did find the net twice against the Three Lions.
Exciting Italy attacking options
Conte’s men are without some of their own defensive lynchpins, so it is tough to see a Germany outfit with ruffled feathers not putting up a fight.
Yet, Italy are expected to further test out a host of young-guns who have been sparkling in Serie A with Fiorentina’s Federico Bernardeschi and on-loan Roma forward Stephan El Shaarawy tipped to start, which may be too much for a predicted youthful German rearguard.
While, in-form Napoli net threat Lorenzo Insigne struck against the Spanish and seems to be back in favour with Conte, which could again mean trouble for Germany.
