Coral bet of the day

  • Mexico are 20 games unbeaten
  • Hernandez has scored 44 in 82 caps
  • Jamaica have only won a single match in seven

Hernandez 3/1 to net first against Jamaica

Opportunist striker Javier Hernandez is coming into this Copa America clash with Jamaica on the back of a personal best scoring season.

Former Manchester United frontman Hernandez has netted 26 goals in all competitions this term, which fired Bayern Leverkusen to third place and another year in the Champions League.

The 28-year-old striker is superb box player and deadly when it comes to finishing with a mere sniff of goal. Chicharito is 3/1 to score first against Jamaica in a crucial Copa clash.

Hernandez also boasts an outstanding record for Mexico; he has netted 44 in 82 caps and now sits just three strikes behind breaking Jared Borgetti’s all-time record.

Osorio’s Aztecs overpower Jamaica

Juan Carlos Osorio’s outfit, formerly that of Miguel Herrera, have been on an amazing unbeaten run. El Tri have not lost a game in 20 encounters and look nailed on to triumph over Winfried Schafer’s side.

Osorio’s demeanour is that of a man who has prepared for a moment like for his entire life. The Mexico job is by far the highest profile position Osorio has held in his career and looks totally focused on bringing Mexico their first ever Copa title. With perhaps their greatest ever squad, Chicharito’s nation could do it.

It feels like Mexico have the right coach at the right time, with the right group of players. Their last outing was against Uruguay in their group curtain raiser, Osorio put on an utterly perfect tactical masterclass which dominated Edinson Cavani’s side.

Osorio has been in charge for eight games has produced eight wins, conceding just one goal. The Reggae Boyz will need to be on top form if they hope to get anything out of their encounter with Mexico.
