Germany 27/10 to win and both teams score

Germany face Ukraine in their opening Euro 2016 Group C game, in search of becoming champions of both the World Cup and European Championship, and it is from this match that Coral have picked our Sunday bet of the day.

Tasty odds of 27/10 say that Die Mannschaft will beat their upcoming opponents and both teams score.

Read on to find out just why you should go for this hand-picked price…

Germany and Ukraine, under their present names (not including West Germany v Soviet Union), have faced each other five times in history, with the former unbeaten in all of them. In each of the last three, meanwhile, the two sides have scored.

Both teams are in excellent scoring form of late, too, in part down to their talent in attack.

Germany and Ukraine strong in attack

Joachim Low can call upon the likes of superstars Thomas Muller, Mario Gomez, Mario Gotze, Mesut Ozil and Toni Kroos to help grab goals this Euros, with the former in particular a man for the bigger stage.

Muller is only 26, but is already among one of the most prolific marksmen in German history, being within just 15 goals of the likes of Rudi Voller, Jurgen Klinsmann and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. The Bayern Munich forward has already bagged Golden and Silver Boots at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.

For Ukraine, meanwhile, Andriy Yarmolenko and Evgen Konoplyanka have been knocking in goals for fun for their nation in recent matches, and have the potential to penetrate Germany’s defence here too.

While Die Mannschaft should be able to outscore the Ukrainians, their backline is not as strong as it once was. Philipp Lahm and Per Mertesacker are now retired from internationals, while Mats Hummels is out injured for the opening game.
