Coral’s bet of the day

  • Belfast champion outclassed Kiko Martinez too in 2014 to win IBF title

Frampton 6/4 to beat Quigg by decision

It’s the fight that everyone has been waiting for, and as part of Coral’s bet of the day, you can back IBF super-bantamweight champion Carl Frampton to overcome Scott Quigg on points in their unification bout in Manchester tonight.

The Irishman enters the highly-anticipated match-up as the huge odds-on 8/15 favourite to triumph at the Manchester Arena, where he has brought a mammoth amount of support from the Emerald Isle, and will look to give his fans a masterclass to cheer.

Trained by Shane McGuigan, son of Hall of Fame inductee and former featherweight world champion Barry, Frampton possesses all the ring attributes to comfortably outclass his Bury-born opponent over 12 rounds, something he has done constantly in recent contests.

Belfast’s best ready for masterclass

‘The Jackal’ simply outclassed Spaniard Kiko Martinez back in 2014 to clinch his current IBF world title, emphatically earning a unanimous points decision at a truly electric Titanic Quarter in Belfast.

Frampton brings with him plenty of fans from his homeland and boasts an abundance of supporters in Manchester too, with the 29-year-old already used to these massive fight occasions, giving him another upper hand on Quigg.

The Tiger’s Bay bruiser comes into this boxing spectacle on the back of his American debut, when he fought back from a nearly setback to completely outgun Mexican challenger Alejandro Gonzalez Jr over 12 rounds, having secured another unanimous points coup.

Going into his latest match-up after working with esteemed upcoming coach McGuigan, Frampton will undoubtedly hold a solid gameplan in his mind and, over the distance, the hard-hitting Irishman’s tactics should pay off in front of the Sky Sports Box Office cameras.

So make sure to back IBF super-bantamweight champion Frampton to outclass WBA Super title-holder Quigg on points at a tasty 6/4 in what could be an early contender for fight of the year!
