5/1 for Simani to score first against Porto

Leicester City prepare for their first ever Champions League match at home on Tuesday evening when they face Porto, and luckily for them they just so happen to boast a Dragon slayer.

Islam Slimani is the man in question, and the Algeria striker is the subject of Coral’s latest bet of the day for September 27th, with fantastic 5/1 odds available on him scoring first.

Read on to find out why this bet is too good not to take…

The Foxes and Slimani are preparing for a second straight win in Europe after they convincingly swept away Club Brugge on the road last time out.

Algeria international and former attacker Slimani will be looking to continue his fine form over Porto, having netted six times in as many league games against them for former club Sporting Lisbon in Portugal.

Slimani can continue fine Porto record

The 28-year-old even scored against the Dragons this season, in his final match before moving to the King Power stadium.

Of those six goals, an incredible three of them were to break the deadlock, so it’s difficult to look past Slimani doing so again.

Claudio Ranieri knows full well about Slimani’s Porto record, and said on the Foxes record transfer signing: “I spoke with him about Porto. He came to me and I went to him.

“Of course Slimani has scored so many times against Porto. Slimani will play as normal, he’s a goalscorer and scored a lot of goals against Porto and I’m sure he’ll be a threat to them.”
