Antonio Conte’s side to get back to winning ways
Chelsea may have been held to a goalless draw against Arsenal on Sunday, but they should return to winning ways against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup this evening.
The Blues are expected to welcome back Eden Hazard for his first start of the season. Plus, they have a fine record against lower league sides in the League Cup. They’ve put three or more past their last three lower division opponents in this competition.
Antonio Conte has only lost three home games as Chelsea boss. It’s hard to see that becoming four. The Coral Bet of The Day is Chelsea to win and over 3.5 goals at 11/10.
Hazard to be a danger
Eden Hazard should make a comeback for this one. And the Coral News Team thinks it’s highly likely that he’ll return with a goal. The Belgian has scored in his first home start in two of the past three seasons.
With Forest prone to conceding, Hazard should get plenty of opportunities. Mark Warburton’s men have shipped 16 goals already this season. That includes 10 in just five away games.
Against a leaky Reds defence the 26-year-old should get some joy. He’s 5/6 to net anytime and a tastier 16/5 to bag two or more.
Blues won’t have it all their own way
While Chelsea are favourites to walk away with a win, don’t be surprised if the visitors cause a few problems. Forest like to score goals and against a weakened home defence could take advantage.
Plus, the Stamford Bridge side aren’t always completely solid in this competition. They’ve conceded goals in each of their previous five League Cup games. In fact, the Blues have kept just two clean sheets in the competition since 2013.
Both teams to score has landed in seven of Nottingham Forest’s ten games so far this season. It’s 7/4 to come to fruition once more.
