The Seagulls enjoyed a blistering start to the season, before their form dipped slightly, though their recent rampant recovery has seen two wins in a row recorded, which is bad news for Brentford.

West Londoners the Bees have not had as much fun on the road, winning just two of their last seven trips away from home, though their travels have produced goals in all of those seven, with a multitude of scorers including in-form midfielder Alan Judge able to test Brighton’s net.

Transfer troubles for Bees

With only one victory in their last six scuffles, however, Smith’s side may have enough to penetrate Albion in attack, but will struggle against Brighton’s own bright talents up top, which is why a 13/4 price for the home team to win but concede looks so tasty.

The Bees failed to add to their first-team hive over the winter window, instead only losing more of their spine in defensive midfielder Toumani Diagouraga and promising centre back James Tarkowski to fellow Championship teams.

As Brighton managed to pull off quite the transfer coup by landing attacking midfielder Anthony Knockaert, the flexible former Leicester City star, news of Brentford’s defensive outgoings will be music to Chris Hughton’s ears.

Potentially supplied by classy Knockaert, frontmen Bobby Zamora and on-loan James Wilson, who were both on target last time out, should have more than enough impetus to ensure Brighton bag all three points.
