Bath best bets and Kempton tips: Exoteric can score for red-hot Hills

There’s yet more fancied flutters from Coral horse racing experts, as they look at the Bath best bets and Kempton tips for Wednesday evening…
Exoteric appeals on handicap debut at Bath
Trainer Charlie Hills is in red-hot form at present and Exoteric can capitalise on what looks a handy mark to provide him with another winner in the 1m 2f handicap on this evening’s card at Bath (19:50).
The colt has shown ability in three maiden runs, most notably when runner-up to Mulk at Chester.
Exoteric was a denied a clear run a furlong from home before staying on well to be beaten 2 3/4 lengths by horse now rated 90.
The three-year-old was also far from disgraced last time out when fourth to the well-regarded Shroah at Goodwood and has been allotted an opening handicap mark of just 74.
That looks lenient judged on Exoteric’s run behind Mulk at Chester and he is the only runner-up in the line-up who remains unexposed.
This also looks a weak class 5 contest that won’t take much winning and with champion jockey Silvestre De Sousa in the saddle it looks a great opening for Exoteric to get off the mark.
Lots to like about Cocoa Beach among Bath best bets
Cocoa Beach has a progressive profile and looks the answer to the 6f handicap (18.50).
The Sir Mark Prescott trained filly scored in good style on debut at Wolverhampton and has since run two really solid races to make the frame.
They include a fine second of 13 to Mustallib at Newcastle 18 days ago where Cocoa Beach travelled strongly until getting chinned close home and beaten a head.
The winner is an improving sort who has since come out and landed a competitive affair at Ascot off 6lb higher and the pair pulled 2 3/4 lengths of the field.
That gives the form a solid look and, although now 5lb higher in the weights, a revised rating of 81 may well underestimate Cocoa Beach’s ability given her lightly-raced profile.
The daughter of Acclamation looks the type who should have plenty more to offer with the yard going well can take this en route to better things.

Aristocratic to lord it over Kempton rivals
Aristocratic has some strong form to her name and can cash-in on a drop in class to open her account in the 7f maiden on this evening’s card at Kempton (19.40).
The Sir Michael Stoute trained filly showed progressive form in her first four outings, and shaped really well in the last of those at Goodwood when runner-up to Persuasive.
Although no match for the eased down winner, Aristocratic stuck to the task well when headed inside the final furlong to be beaten 1 1/2 lengths.
Persuasive is an ultra-progressive sort who has gone on the score twice since, including the valuable Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot, and that gives the form a rock solid look in the context of this contest.
Although Aristocrat subsequently failed to shine when only ninth on handicap debut at Newmarket, that was a hot class 2 affair and the return to calmer waters is likely to see her in a far better light and she is thus among Kempton tips.
Cryptic weighted to score
In the 1m handicap (20.40), Cryptic looks decent value to get back to winning ways now returned to the scene of his sole success.
Trained by Luca Cumani, the gelding opened his account over 7f at the venue when coming from miles off the pace to get up close home and score by 1/2 a length off a mark of 65.
Cryptic backed that up with a solid second to We Are Ninety at Chelsmford off 5lb higher and the winner, whom he met on level weights, has since won a Listed contest and is now rated 105.
That is very strong form and the selection is able to race in this off the same rating of 70 having failed to shine in his last three outings.
It makes the three-year-old look potentially thrown in at the weights, especially with the stable now going well.
