Barcelona odds on for Champions League glory

After picking up a commanding 3-0 lead in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Liverpool, Barcelona have been installed as odds-on favourites to pick up the trophy in Madrid.
Lionel Messi provided another masterclass, scoring a delicious free-kick to seal the win for the Catalan side, which has seen their odds dropped to 4/9.
Jurgen Klopp’s beaten side have seen their odds slip to 20/1, with the Reds all but out of the competition unless they mastermind a miraculous comeback.
Ajax are now second-favourites to win the Champions League this season after picking up a 1-0 advantage in their first leg away at Tottenham. The Amsterdam club were 100/1 outsiders at the start of the tournament, and have seen their odds continually slip with each impressive performance, and are now sitting at 3/1.
Spurs are still in the tie, but they’ve got a mountain to climb to overcome the away goal deficit. Our traders have them at 9/1 to reach the final and pick up the trophy.
“Last night was a huge result in terms of the betting on who will lift the trophy in Madrid and we now make Barcelona the odds on favourites. They’ve one foot in the final and seem to have one hand on the trophy too,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
“Ajax are now just 3/1 to win it and they’ve had a fairytale run to the brink of the final. 100/1 outsiders at the start of the competition, they were still 28/1 before the quarter-finals kicked off and it would be one of the biggest upsets we’ve seen in the competition if they did go all the way,” added Aitkenhead.
