Back Lyon to get goals galore again at Bordeaux in live Ligue 1 clash
Published:
Last season’s Ligue 1 runners-up Lyon have got an average of over 3.6 goals (11 in total) in their last three away games against Bordeaux, and are outstanding 25/1 chances with Coral to score over 3.5 again.
To make that bet all the more enticing, the hosting Girondins (8/5 for victory) have won just once in their first seven French top-flight fixtures so far this season, while the Kids (33/20 favourites) only succumbed to a sole defeat.
On top of that, Lyon have already recorded a 4-0 triumph on the road this term, to Caen, while Bordeaux were smashed 6-1 last time out against Nice. The former now sit five points and 12 places ahead of their upcoming opponents.
However, Willy Sagnol’s Girondins have managed to gain creditable draws against current top two PSG and St-Etienne this campaign, so are 2/1 to share the spoils once more.

Visitors Lyon, though, will be without top scorer so far in 2015/16 Nabil Fekir, who could be out for most of the season due to suffering a serious knee injury after a promising start to the campaign.
That means the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, who bagged a brace in this fixture last term, and Claudio Beauvue will need to step up, with the duo being priced at 7/5 and 13/5 to net anytime respectively.
Other names to look out for in Hubert Fournier’s team are former Premier League players Steed Malbranque (5/1) and Rafael Da Silva (12/1). Summer signing Mathieu Valbuena, meanwhile, is always an attacking threat, and is 7/2 in the same market.
For Bordeaux, African international attacking duo Wahbi Khazri and Henri Saivet have been amongst the goals, so can be backed at 23/10 and 14/5 respectively to be on target anytime.
Lyon will certainly hope they can claim a fourth victory of the Ligue 1 season at a ground they have won the last three meetings at. The south coast side are bidding to revive their past fortunes and go one place better than last term by lifting their first top-flight title since 2007/08, which they are 14/1 second-favourites to do so.
Coral’s top tip: As Lyon have got 11 goals in their last three away games against Bordeaux, at an average of over 3.6, back them to score over 3.5 again at a highly enticing 25/1 price
