Odds and preview for Europa League clash

After a shock 1-0 defeat in Belarus, Arsenal have it all to do in tonight’s Europa League round of 16 second-leg against BATE Borisov.

With a battle for a top four spot raging on in the league, winning this competition may be the Gunners’ best hope of securing Champions League football next season.

Will they turn this tie around? Keep reading for all the key odds and info, ahead of kick-off at 5:55pm on BT Sport 3.

Head-to-Head

These sides met for the first time in the group stage last season, with Arsenal winning home and away.

They’ll hope the 6-0 win at the Emirates is a sign of things to come tonight.

BATE’s win last week was especially surprising as they hadn’t played a competitive game since mid-December.

Likely XIs

Alexandre Lacazette’s suspension means that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will start as the lone frontman for the hosts.

Further back, Unai Emery may ditch the back three and get an extra body in midfield. That could be Aaron Ramsey, though Mesut Ozil has also returned to training.

BATE don’t have any fresh injury concerns, which means Alyaksey Baha is likely to stick with the side from last week.

That means former Arsenal man Alexander Hleb will return to the pitch he once graced.

Key Battles

Arsenal have the quality to win this game comfortably, but they’ve looked very short of ideas lately.

If BATE sit deep, will the hosts be able to unlock their defence? Ramsey’s runs into the box should help to cause more problems than Arsenal managed last week.

When BATE do get a chance to break, they’ll want to target the North Londoner’s right flank. With Ainsley Maitland-Niles a doubt, Stephan Lichtsteiner should fill in at right-back. The veteran has looked well off the pace this term.
