Arsenal v Sunderland
- Premier League
- Saturday, December 5th
- Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
- Emirates Stadium, London
A best case scenario for the Black Cats could be a draw (9/2), which Sunderland have achieved on two of their last three trips to the Emirates, but overall head-to-heads do not make pretty reading for the visitors.
Big Sam certainly has the Mackems on an upward curve, following the Northeast outfit’s first back-to-back wins all term, but repelling Stoke City and Crystal Palace is one thing, stopping Arsenal is another. Top-class threats Mesut Ozil (5/4 in the anytime markets) and Olivier Giroud (3/1 to fire in first) will just have too much menace and movement for the Black Cats backline, with three or more goals for the Gunners 23/20 to occur.
Manchester United v West Ham United
- Premier League
- Saturday, December 5th
- Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
- Old Trafford, Manchester
Having drawn two on the trot across all competitions, and seven in normal time all term, the Red Devils are troubled when tasked with delivering the deadly blow. While, the Hammers have also ended evenly in two of their last four, so a splitting of spoils in this fray is more favourable at 10/3 than a home win (4/9).
Both teams are blunted, either due to injuries or poor form, but for the hosts France forward Anthony Martial is a fine 5/1 price to poach last. As for Slaven Bilic’s side, magician Mauro Zarate (7/2) makes sense to follow-up his striking success with another anytime.
West Bromwich Albion v Tottenham
- Premier League
- Saturday, December 5th
- Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
- Old Trafford, Manchester
Spurs smashed three past Albion in this fixture last season, and are 17/5 to fire in the same amount or more again at The Hawthorns. Still undefeated in the Premier League since the opening day, Spurs are chasing a top four place, so expect hitman Harry Kane (4/1 to be first scorer) and sharpshooter Son Heung-Min (7/4 to breach the Baggies anytime) to come out all guns blazing.
