Odds and preview for the final day of the Premier League season

The Premier League season is a ten-month long marathon. But after 37 games, the destination of this season’s title will come down to the final 90 minutes on Sunday.

Manchester City’s fate is in their own hands as 1/10 favourites. If they beat Brighton & Hove Albion, they’ll become the first side in a decade to defend the title.

Liverpool are only a point behind City, but they’re 6/1 to clinch top spot. The Reds will need to beat Wolves and hope City slip up to overtake Pep Guardiola’s side.

It’s set to go down to the wire, and we’ve got tips for the pick of the final day’s action right here:

Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester City (Sky Sports Main Event, 3pm)

We’ve got City at 1/6 to get the job done on the South Coast. 14/1 underdogs Brighton don’t have anything to play for, which could play into the Manchester club’s hands.

Having beaten Brighton without conceding twice this season, we go 5/6 on another City win to nil at the Amex Stadium.

As well as the title, the Golden Boot is also up for grabs on the final day. Sergio Aguero has 20 goals, two behind current leader Mohamed Salah. We go 16/5 that he gets two or more goals, while he’s 4/1 to finish as top scorer.

Liverpool v Wolves (Sky Sports Premier League, 3pm)

The odds suggest Liverpool are up against it, but that was the case in the Champions League semi-finals too.

They’re 3/10 to do their part against Wolves. But the visitors have taken 16 points off the top six this season. They knocked the Reds out of the FA Cup. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are 13/5 to get a result in the Double Chance market.

Expect a fast start from Jurgen Klopp’s side. As well as being determined to get the win, they could feel the effects of their stunning comeback against Barcelona in the later stages. We go 13/4 that they’re leading after 15 minutes.

Looking to the Golden Boot race, Salah is 2/7 to defend his title and 16/5 to net first at Anfield.  Sadio Mane’s 14/1 to come out on top. He’s on 20 goals, while there’s 5/1 about him getting at least two goals in this one.

What else to watch out for…

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also on 20 goals. He comes into Arsenal’s game against Burnley on the back of a brilliant hat-trick against Valencia. Our traders have him at 14/1 to win the Golden Boot.

Ryan Fraser has had a standout campaign for Bournemouth. Only Eden Hazard (15) has more assists than the Cherries winger (14). The Scot is 17/4 to set up another goal against Crystal Palace.

Will there be more heroics from Lucas Moura? After his hat-trick against Ajax, the Brazilian is 6/4 to net anytime against Everton, with Spurs 21/20 favourites to cap their domestic campaign with a win.

Leicester City will be targeting a European spot next season. The Foxes are 11/8 to lay down a marker against Chelsea, while Jamie Vardy is 19/20 to get yet another goal against a top-six side.
