Latest odds and betting for the French 2000 Guineas

With final declarations in for the French 2000 Guineas, Persian King has been named as odds-on favourite to take the victory at Sunday’s Longchamp Group One meet.

The Andre Fabre-trained three-year-old is the outright 10/11 favourite for success, with the Aidan O’Brien-trained Never No More second-favourite at 6s.

Shaman sits third in the running as an 8/1 underdog to race to victory in Paris.

In the betting for the French 1000 Guineas, it’s Castle Lady who heads the betting at 10/3 but the three-year-old filly could face stiff competition on the course from joint second-favourites Suphala and Watch Me, who are at 5s.

“Persian King’s Autumn Stakes success at Newmarket last season was given a huge form boost when the runner-up from that day, Magna Grecia, won last weekend’s Qipco 2,000 Guineas, and as result the Godolphin colt is odds-on favourite to gain his own Classic triumph this weekend,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
