Odds and preview for Premier League clash

The Bank Holiday weekend kicks-off with Friday night football as Everton host Burnley at Goodison Park.

The Toffees can secure a top-half finish if they take the points, though Burnley will be looking up the table after ensuring their Premier League survival.

The actions starts at 8:00pm on Sky Sports Football, but keep reading for all the odds and pre-match info…

Head-to-Head

Everton ran out 5-1 winners at Turf Moor on Boxing Day, with Lucas Digne catching the eye with a brace from left-back.

However, Burnley have more than held their own against the Merseysiders over the last decade. The eight Premier League clashes between these teams have produced four wins each.

Likely XIs

Everton v Burnley

Everton: Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Zouma, Digne; Gueye, Schneiderlin; Richarlison, Sigurdsson, Bernard; Calvert-Lewin

Burnley: Heaton; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Hendrick, Westwood, Cork, McNeil; Barnes, Wood

Marco Silva isn’t likely to make any unforced changes, with his side having beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United in their last three games at home.

Sean Dyche could also stick with the team that battled valiantly against Manchester City last week, with Johann Gudmundsson coming in for Jeff Hendrick one potential switch.

Key Battles

Richarlison’s movement from out to win gives full-backs real problems. If Charlie Taylor tracks him inside, it could give Seamus Coleman plenty of space to exploit on the right.

Burnley will need their wide men to track the Everton full backs to ensure they’re not overrun.

Going forward, Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood have proven a real handful for most defences they’ve come up against. Michael Keane and Kurt Zouma could be in for a tough evening.

Match Odds

Everton’s recent home form sees them as 4/7 favourites here, with 19/4 about an away win. Our traders have the draw at 29/10.

After keeping clean sheets in their last three games at Goodison Park, we go 13/8 for another Everton win to nil.

Richarlison is 16/5 favourite to score first, with Gylfi Sigurdsson 7/5 to get on the scoresheet anytime.

Barnes is 12/5 to net for the third away game running for Burnley, with Wood a touch behind at 13/5.
